Hello! This is M, a staff member for GEN: The online dojo!
I haven't been able to practice on my own for a whole week due to a combination of various things.
Have you ever heard the saying, "Taking one day off will leave you three days behind"?
That means I am three weeks behind.
In yesterday's practice, I felt this delay firsthand.
My body couldn't move, my legs couldn't move, and I was frustrated with myself.
I was not in my normal state of mind and started to practice in a messy way.
Overwork is not good, but I want to create an environment where I can practice consistently.
Even if you don't go to the dojo, you need to make up for it by walking, running, and training!

Now, for today's video recommendation, I'd like to show you some training that you can do without bogu, from "Isshin Ichi-Uchi: Chukyo Practically Applied Kendo Training Method"!
Chukyo High School is a powerful school with excellent results not only in Gifu Prefecture but also in national tournaments!

The training introduced here is often simple, but these basics may be important for powerful strikes and quick movements!
Tanaka Sensei also explains the necessity of stretching to increase flexibility, so please take a look and try it out!
