-The world's best technique that creates speed and crispness!-
【 GEN Spotlight 】
Rika Usami won the WKF World Championships in Paris in 2012 performing the Kata Chatanyara Kuusanku in the finals.
This Kata is one that has been handed down for many generations to this day, but Rika Usami has a unique approach to making the technique look and feel different, she does this by using her imagination and feelings.
As she says, “even though the movements look the same, the strength and speed of the movement can be dramatically changed by changing the image you have in your head”.
Rika Usami is a master at using this method to create sharp and powerful movements without ever losing her balance.
This is the reason why she is said to be able to perform the most beautiful Kata in the world.
In this video Rika Usami shares her expertise on how to perform the Suparinpei and Tomari Bassai Kata.
She explains step by step from beginning to end, and carefully explain the key points to the techniques. Watch this and you may also become able to perform the most beautiful Kata in the world.
