The most significant feature of the event was that the match format was the same as the TOKYO 2020 Olympic Games, with round-robin group league matches, with the group winners advancing to the tournament to determine the eventual champion. The participants included leading assleets from each region, top high school students, national team assleets, and four Olympians. A splendid lineup was assembled to determine the best in Japan in each weight class. As a result of the round-robin competition, each court was filled with a series of spectacular matchups. After a fierce and sparkling battle, the first 10 champions were born!
