1.Body Movements, Finishing Dai-nikyo Ura
In this session, we explain Zagi Katate-dori Dai-nikyo in both omote and ura forms. When the opponent grabs in a gyaku hanmi stance, create a proper hanmi stance and open your hand to form a sword hand. Then step back with your right foot, not just moving your feet but coordinating with your upper body and core movements.
Receive the opponent's palm with your own palm facing upward. Next, perform the ura movement, ensuring to engage your core properly.
Next, we explain how to finish Dai-nikyo Ura. After drawing back from your core, perform Dai-nikyo, but avoid relying on small hand movements. Engage your core thoroughly to execute the technique. Keep your palm facing upward and slightly curved as you slowly apply the lock.
Dai-nikyo is more complex than Ikkyo, so it is essential to practice moving from the core. Consistent practice will help you master this technique.
2.Summary
Zagi Katate-dori Dai-nikyo emphasizes the importance of core movements. Master the basic body movements and the Dai-nikyo Ura finish, and focus on precise daily practice to improve your technique.
