Why highspeed jodan-zuki now?
The name "highspeed jodan-zuki" was widely used 15 years ago. However, some of our younger
readers may not know what it means. The name "highspeed jodan-zuki" was coined in the
course of several features in this soon-to-be-published magazine based on an analysis of
the unique tsuki methods used by the world's top-level athletes at that time. Many of the top
athletes in Japan, as well as in other countries, have used highspeed jodan-zuki.
In this series of articles, we revisit the highspeed jodan-zuki that was popular 15 years ago and
make it even more advanced.
