Team Kata competitions held at the theater. 1st All Japan Karatedo Team Kata Tournament

The Japan Karatedo Federation (JKF) held the 1st All Japan Karatedo Team Kata Tournament.
This tournament was the first tournament held by the JKF to determine the best group kata event in Japan.
The JKF made a number of new innovations to the tournament in order to promote karate.
Notably, the third-place match and the final match were held in a theater.
The first champion in team kata was decided in the excitement of the competitors and spectators, who were all united by the theater's special effects.
