Exploring the Practice Menus of a Prestigious dojos Shorinkan / JKfan - 2021 / 12

In this installment of our popular series, "Exploring the Practice Menus of the Best Dojos," we take a look at Shorinkan, a Japan Karatedo Hayashi-ha Shitoryukai based in Higashi Osaka City, Osaka. Shorinkan was founded more than half a century ago and focuses on "understanding the strengths and characteristics of each child and providing instruction that is suited to that child's needs" in terms of competition. As a result, Shorinkan has produced many competitive results, including winners in the Zensho and Zenchu competitions. This time, he introduced us to the　four articles of Shorinkan Kumite, focusing on Kumite practice that assumes the situation in an actual match.
