GEN original series "ONLINE KARATE ACADEMY" featuring Tsukii Shin, a popular lecturer for his easy-to-understand and theoretical explanations.
Tema of volume 1
Tsukii explains about "posture and breathing", which he considers to be the most important things not only in karate but also in martial arts in general.
By applying correct posture and breathing, you will be able to execute techniques farther, faster and stronger.
It also makes it difficult for the opponent to react, while at the same time making it possible for you to react quickly when your opponent moves.
It is also a great way to reconfirm how to use the body in karate.
In this lecture, Mr. Tsukii explains that, the original way of using the body in karate is now taken for granted by the top ranks in the world.
The reason for this is that the conventional way of using the body is no longer good enough for international competitions.
In the search for a more effective way to use the body, he explains that the traditional way of using the body in karate has become equal to karate at the top.

‐ Faster, Stronger, and Further –
In this video, Tsukii-sensei explains how to stand in Kumite.
The power of your Kisami-tsuki can be doubled by opening the angle between your feet. The traditional way of standing in Japanese martial arts is to open the toes 90 degrees. This is called "Shumoku-dachi" or Hammer stance. In this way, you can maintain your mechanical advantage, and keep your balance even if your opponent pushes you hard.
Once you have mastered this stance you can even take your partner's balance using nothing more than a single finger.

7.CHAPTER 6 Ukimi - a universal way to move the body
The wonder of ukimi
- Suspending the lower limbs with the pelvis
In this video, Tsukii Sensei explains about ukimi, floating body. The concept of ukimi is originally from kobudo, but it is also used in Karate. If an object has a low center of gravity and a large support area, it is stable. However, this is not the case with humans. But it is possible to create a strong stance with a high center of gravity and a small support area. By pulling up the lower limbs with the pelvis and maintaining a moderate amount of tension, in addition to the keeping your center of gravity within the soles of your feet, it is possible to move freely without being easily toppled over by someone pushing or pulling you.

8.CHAPTER 5 Tsuki that is impossible to react to
A mechanism that will make your tsuki impossible to respond to
– Technique evolving in a spiral
Why don't we use our shoulders in basic tsuki? If you use your shoulder when you strike, you won’t be able to use your shoulder blade and you will end up with a short tsuki. In striking, if the upper body is facing the front, the shoulder blades can be used, and the arm can be extended further.

9.CHAPTER 4 Tsuki from your back
The secret of Tsuki
– is releasing the tension instantaneously.
This time, Tsukii Sensei explains a trick to improve your tsuki. As opposed to the previous episode, instead of pushing your solar plexus diagonally upward, you imagine yourself holding a ball, your strike will become longer and more powerful. In this case, you should be aware of the area under your arms. The power of the lower body passes through your waist and upper body finally being is transmitted to the tip of your fist by your arms.

10.CHAPTER 3 Extend your Tsuki 20cm
Extending your tsuki by two fists!
– Master the tsuki through full body coordination
Your tsuki can be extended by as much as the length of two fists by using the body correctly. The quality of your tsuki will vary greatly depending on how you use your hiki-te (chikuchi), waist (gamaku) and solar-plexus (suigetsu). The power of your tsuki can also be increased by linking the parts of body together without relying on the strength of the arms.
