As a result of the global expansion of COVID-19 infection, many countries in the karate world are struggling to select their representatives for the TOKYO 2020 Olympics. 
Japan has eight slots for the Olympics, but one slot for each of the men's and women's kumite teams has yet to be decided. 
After overcoming the postponement of the Olympic Games and the postponement and cancellation of the selection tournaments, 
four athletes will be competing in the final selection tournament. We hope that they will compete in the best conditions with no regrets.
