The next issue of the video is dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of how to use the body in koryu karate. Natsuki Shimizu who is child of our modern times has been studying karate for many years, but she still has trouble doing the movements the way they did it in the old days. However, after following Oshiro Sensei’s instructions, she is able to move faster and with a more powerful feeling in her movements. By studying koryu Shimizu Natsuki thinks she has come closer to the “real” shape of the kata, and she looks forward to putting it into her daily training.
