Prestigious Dojo Practice Menus Exploring Kenwakai in Aichi Prefecture

This month's article is about Kuwakoha Shito-Ryu Nihon Karatedo Kenwakai (Aichi Prefecture). Kuwakoha Shito-Ryu was established in 1957 by Sensei Kenwa (Yoshizumi) Kuwako in Taketoyo-cho, Chita-gun, Aichi Prefecture, as the first karate dojo in the Chita Peninsula. The dojo aims to achieve "ever-evolving karate-do that meets the needs of the times" as taught by Soke, the first president of the dojo, and members (dojo students), instructors, and parents are united in their efforts to practice in a strict but well-balanced manner. As a result, the dojo has produced a large number of participants in national tournaments, some of whom have gone on to win top prizes in their respective
tournaments. In this issue, we asked them to introduce some of their daily practices, focusing on kata, which have been highly successful in recent years.
