A popular series of articles "Exploring the Practice Menus of a Prestigious Dojo". This month we will be introducing Japan Karatedo Federetion Shitokai Taiseikai (Headquarters: Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Kazuhiro Nishitsuji, Vice President: Katsuji Nishitsuji). Taiseikai was founded in 1969 by Sensei Masayuki Nishitsuji, the current president of the organization. In 2002, the current president, Sensei Katsuji Nishitsuji, took over as the second generation of the organization. In this session, he introduced some of Taiseikai's regular practices, such as the points to watch out for when performing kata (Shitoryu), and how to use footwork in kumite to get into your own spacing.
