Koukousei Soutai– High School Kendo during the year of Corona

Throughout 2020, as a result of the Corona Virus, the kendo world’s main tournaments were subject to cancelations. It is difficult to imagine the level of disappointment of those who had made this tournament their goal for three years. Then, through the cooperation of the National High School Kendo Advisory Board member’s efforts, the ‘National High School Memories Tournament’ took place in Okinawa. We at GEN were lucky enough to hear about the three years of hard work, their thoughts and feelings on the memories created in their high school kendo years, as well as special memories they had made along the way. Now, we want to share them with you.
