Suenaga Mari and Onishi Nanami, two of the top athletes in the women's kendo world, have appeared in the "ONLINE KENDO ACADEMY", which features technical commentary by famous kendo practitioners.
Suenaga Mari's maiden name is Yamamoto Mariko, which is well known to all Japanese kendo practitioners, and she changed her name after her marriage in 2021, starting fresh as Mari Suenaga here on GEN.
Onishi Nanami, who is currently a teacher at Fukui Prefectural Tsuruga High School, is another well-known top competitor in the women's kendo world who has achieved great results in major tournaments including the All Japan Women's Championships.
