A Document of Modern Bizen-Den Japanese Sword Forging: Forging Perfection - A Life in Swordmaking Part 2

This video documents the Bizen "Kobuse" forging technique of Kuniie Yoshiwara (real name: Soji), a leading modern Japanese swordsmith in the Bizen tradition, including an interview with him. His father, brother, and nephew are also swordsmiths, and Kuniie Yoshiwara has been a swordsmith since he was 18 years old. He has been the president of the All Japan Swordsmith Association since 2008, and was designated an Intangible Cultural Property of Tokyo.

The second part includes the processes from yakiire to kabuse-zukuri, sunobe, hizukuri, and namatogi.
