The 47th All Japan Iaido Tournament, Part 1 features the first round matches between Kenichi Sakamoto (Tokushima) and Hideo Shimada (Yamanashi), Arata Hyakutake (Saga) and Yasuyuki Kobori (Gunma), Jun Ono (Iwate) and Takuji Yamasaki (Shizuoka), and Masanori Takenaga (Shimane) and Kojii Muraki (Hokkaido).
