大日本武徳会武道専門学校は、かつて京都にあった武道指導者を養成するための旧制専門学校で武専と呼ばれている。その設立と運営は、大日本武徳会によるもので武士道精神の育成と精神鍛錬を目的としたもので、特定の授業を受講できる講習科も存在した。その武専の講習科卒業生が定期的に集い、稽古会を始めることになるのだが、これがのちに範士八段を次々と世に送り出す武講同窓会なのである。
この武講同窓会は、居合道範士九段、剣道範士八段で、全日本剣道連盟居合の制定の父とも呼ばれている紙本栄一が発起したものであり、この番組は、その伝説的な武講同窓会を当時の貴重な映像や、関係者のインタビューで構成され、現在の居合道にいかに多大な影響を与えたかを知る貴重な映像ドキュメントである。
第三部では、1997年に武講同窓会が主催した世界居合道交流演武会について、開催したきっかけや演武会が世界の居合道普及にどれだけ大きな影響を与えたかを網羅する。

NobbyThis was just wonderful to watch and recall this visit. This was my first visit to Japan and a great experience to spend time with Morita Sensei at the Rukoshikan Dojo, to take part in an Enbu at the Heian Shrine and perform on the floor of the Butokuden. This was also the visit I managed to pass Godan, a wonderful time!
